Is the abalone already cooked?
Yes. Both our canned and retort abalone are fully cooked and ready to eat. They can be served as they are, gently warmed or used in a wide range of dishes. As the abalone is already cooked, take care not to overcook it when using quick cooking methods.
Does the gift box need to be refrigerated?
No. Our canned and unopened retort abalone are shelf-stable and do not require refrigeration. Store them in a cool, dry place and refrigerate after opening.
Can I send the gift box directly to the recipient?
Yes. Simply enter the recipient's delivery address at checkout and we can send the gift box directly to them.
Where is the abalone grown?
Our Tiger Abalone is grown at our land-based farm in Port Fairy on Victoria’s southwest coast.
