Yes. Both our canned and Retort Abalone are fully cooked and ready to enjoy.
What is the difference between canned and retort abalone?
Canned abalone is packed in a lightly seasoned brine and is well suited to braising, soups and traditional dishes. Retort abalone is cooked in its own natural liquid and is particularly convenient for slicing, serving directly or adding to quick meals.
What does the piece count mean?
Piece count is the number of whole abalone contained in each can or pouch. A lower piece count means fewer, larger individual abalone. The stated drained or net weight remains the same.
Can I choose different piece counts in one bundle?
Yes. You can mix available piece counts across your selected cans and retort pouches, subject to current stock.
