If you’ve got a platter or party in need of a star performer, our gin essence-infused retort abalone will surprise and delight abalone lovers with a taste for something elegant, a little bit different and very local – and it couldn't be easier.

A result of a spring 2025 collaboration with Suffoir Winery, Brewery and Distillery in nearby Macarthur, our botanical gin essence-infused retort abalone arrived just in time for the entertaining and gift-giving over the summer and festive season through to Lunar New Year 2026.

The gin essence was created by master gin makers Michelle and Pieter Badenhorst from the same locally-grown botanicals distilled into Ocean Road Abalone Gin: seaberry saltbush, sea parsley, dill, juniper, lemon-scented gum and lemon myrtle.

With 8 whole abalone in each 200g pack, there’s enough to go around; the tasting experience is subtle and coastal, taking our retort abalone’s delicate, oceanic umami to a place in the dunes where the salt bush grows.

This may be a limited-edition or seasonal item, depending on demand, and stock is currently limited to fewer than 100 packs.
