About Tiger Abalone

Tiger Abalone is a cross between Australia's two most recognised premium abalone species, Greenlip Abalone and Blacklip Abalone.

While naturally occurring hybrids can be found where the distributions of the parent species overlap, Tiger Abalone has become particularly important within Australian aquaculture due to its strong growth performance, high meat-to-shell ratio and premium eating quality.

At Ocean Road Abalone, we specialise in farming Tiger Abalone near Port Fairy. Combining characteristics from both parent species, Tiger Abalone offers a balance of texture, flavour and consistency that has made it one of Australia's most recognised farmed abalone products.
