Serves 2
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 can of Ocean Road premium abalone in brine 130g, 3pc or 4pc
- 2 thin slices of ginger – finely chopped
- 1 clove of garlic –minced
- 30 gm of butter
- 1 tbsp of teriyaki sauce
- 1 tbsp of furikake seasoning
METHOD:
- Drained the abalone, sliced it, and set it aside.
- Heat a pan with some olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and ginger, and sauté for a minute.
- Add the butter and stir until melted.
- Add the abalone, and sauté for a minute.
- Stir the teriyaki sauce, and sauté for another minute.
- Place the abalone on a plate, and sprinkle the furikake seasoning over it.
- Serve with steamed rice and Asian vegetables.
For additional flavour, chopped coriander and a drizzle of sesame oil can be added to this simple and easy-to-follow recipe for sautéed abalone. Enjoy it with friends as a snack or as a meal with rice, bok choy, kai lan, and other side dishes.
