Sautéed Abalone

Serves 2

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can of Ocean Road premium abalone in brine 130g, 3pc or 4pc
  • 2 thin slices of ginger – finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic –minced
  • 30 gm of butter
  • 1 tbsp of teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp of furikake seasoning

 METHOD:

  1. Drained the abalone, sliced it, and set it aside.
  2. Heat a pan with some olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add the butter and stir until melted.
  5. Add the abalone, and sauté for a minute.
  6. Stir the teriyaki sauce, and sauté for another minute.
  7. Place the abalone on a plate, and sprinkle the furikake seasoning over it.
  8. Serve with steamed rice and Asian vegetables.

For additional flavour, chopped coriander and a drizzle of sesame oil can be added to this simple and easy-to-follow recipe for sautéed abalone. Enjoy it with friends as a snack or as a meal with rice, bok choy, kai lan, and other side dishes.
